                        The UG department was established in 1970, PG in 1988. Add-on course in Vermiculture has been offered at Certificate/ Diploma/ Advance Diploma levels. Offering ‘Computational Biology’ is an innovativeinitrature. Dr.L. Lakshmi bai, Dr. M. Maruthikalai Selvi andDr. T. Sarada are approved guide of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University. The department offers training in mushroom Cultivation and Vermi Composting. Minor Research Projects have been undertaken by the Faculty.From 2010 to 2011 0nwards proposal send to the University(Research Center).
